How can I test the JSF-component selectOneMenu?

My jsp looks as follow:

<h:selectOneMenu id="color" value="#{myBean.color}" tabindex="1">
<f:selectItems value="#myBean.colorList}" />
</h:selectOneMenu>
..
This is like html source:
<select id="color"
name="color" size="1">
<option value="red">Red</option>
<option value="blue">Blue</option>
<option value="yellow">Yellow</option>
</select>
How can I test the jsf component?

I know this has been over 5 years ago but I was wondering if you could post how you tested this component? I am running into this problem myself.
