Not able to record the functionality of dropdown list in Selenium ide 2.8.0

I am pretty new to Selenium and using Selenium IDE for my automation. I get stuck at one point. Basically, there is a "select Month" drop down in the calendar control which I need to open it. But Selenium IDE is unable to record the drop down functionality.

Please help. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure you got any answer but looks like with half finished webdriver2.0 IDE does not record drop down boxes as far as I have tried. I am not sure why warning like this are coming up from perfectly working Selenium 1.0:

Selenium 1.0 (Core, RC, etc) is no longer under active development. Please update to WebDriver ASAP
Which works perfectly for people not that much involved in website but doing apps testing for quick automation..
