A Web based application needs to be validated for the UI.

1. The UI consists of various widgets which are scripted using HTML 5 and based on Polymer JS framework v 0.5.

2. Currently, the UI test is implemented using Selenium Webdriver v2.0 and the scripting is done using Python language v2.7.10 in the Windows Environment.

3. The URL is to be hosted within the QT v5.4 Application using the QWebEngine View which is built on the Chromium framework. This QT Application will be in the Linux Environment (Ubuntu v14.04).

4. Is there any possibility of accessing the Qt Web Engine from the Selenium+Python Bindings through any webdriver?
Or is there any alternate tool/approach to do the same?

Thanks
Arunchandu

Did you have any solution for this. I am looking into using selenium to drive QtWebEngine based application. Looks like there is some sort of IPC layer in qtwebengine as per this but couldn't find any examples for using it. https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-35650

Unfortunately, https://github.com/cisco-open-source/qtwebdriver does not automate QWebengine, onlt QtWebkit.
For QWebEngine, rather use the ChromeDriver that is provided in QWebEngine
