Which Selenium driver / OS / browser version works together?

any idea or hint for the optimal/working configuration?

which version of selenium remotedriver works with which geckodriver and firefox version and on which OS?

same for IE.

until now only got chrome to work in any setup, IE and firefox don't work, either linux nor windows works.

I am using geb/groovy with gradle and spock.
