How to deal with "Always open these types of links in the associated app" notifications?

Hi,

I'm automating tests using selenium and C# and need to open an external app from the browser. 

The problem is that I always get this notification and it blocks the test execution.

Anyone knows how to deal with this?

I was able to make it work until Chrome v 83 using the following line of code.

I am facing an issue from Chrome v84 where we need to even add a url. As url contains .(dot) it is not getting suppressed and Profile preferences are getting saved in wrong format. I have posted a query in stackoverflow.
