The jar-file for version 2.41.0 appears to be corrupt.

The file downloads fine until it reaches 99% completion, at which point it slows to a crawl. The finished file appears to be corrupt.

I have verified this on four machines, two Linux, two Windows, in both chrome and firefox.

The link, directly taken from the download page is http://selenium-release.storage.googleapis.com/2.41/selenium-server-standalone-2.41.0.jar

Is this the case for other people as well?

Tobias,
I am guessing that may be a problem that is local to your environment/network.

I just now ran a quick check and it works fine for me.

Here's the output for your reference.

I am experiencing the same issue. The download does not compelte and then after a long pause, when it completes, it apprears corrupt. When i try to run it, I get an error message saying invalid/corrupt jar file.

@Tobias: Have you managed to download the server file?

@Krishnan: If there is some local issue, would you be able to help identify the issue?

Regards,
Sarah.

Sarah,

I dont quite u'stand what are you expecting here. I would attribute the download part to your network, which is something that cant be fixed by anyone else. So I dont know how I can help you out here !

I've seen this issue before. A corporate firewall scanned the jar and corrupted it.

My suggestion is to turn off all firewall and scanning programs when downloading the jar. If you are on a corporate machine, download the file on your personal machine on your home network and then transfer it to your corporate machine via USB.

I can confirm that downloading this file on my mobile instead of my corporate network resolved this issue. I will be having words with our firewall vendor.
