We're using Selenium IDE to record our automated tests. The goal is to use Selenium Side Runner to run the tests in Azure Devops once new code has been committed. The tests pass when run in the Selenium IDE extension. But when they are ran from side runner, I get a handful of errors saying  ElementNotInteractableError: element not interactable or NoSuchElementError: no such element: Unable to locate element. I've tried adding pauses to give the webpage more time to load and that fixes some of the errors but most are still occurring. Is there any advice on running Selenium IDE tests in Selenium Side Runner?

Hey Monica,

Unfortunately there are some differences between how Selenium IDE playback and command-line runner playback happens.

This will be resolved in the next major version of Selenium IDE.

Until then, feel free to file an issue and let us know the problem. We might be able to help offer a workaround or triage in the interim.

Cheers,

Hi.

Regarding the fix for the "differences between how Selenium IDE playback and command-line runner playback happens", do you know when the next major version of Selenium IDE will be released?

Many of our tests run fine in the IDE - and the tests pass - but in the command line many test steps fail due to elements not being available, or hidden by other elements, etc.

Thank you,
Sarah
