I use nuget with all the latest software and the WebDriverManager with windows 10.  I think the error ocurred when Chrome updated to 89. I have not been able to get back to version 88.

Hi,

The error message is clear and that is the Chrome Driver being used will only support Chrome version 84.

The Chrome version in use is 89.

Due to the mismatch the error occurs.

I see WebDriverManager is being used and I have not used this, but I understand what it does.  Maybe there was just a timing issue and everything works now?
If it still does not work, then the latest version of ChromeDriver needs to be installed - maybe manually and you need to investigate why WebDriverManager is not working as expected.

I finally found a fix. It is selenium-manager. I was using a version that has a created date of June 9, 2023, modified on July 19, 2024. I replaced it with one with a created date of October 6, 2023, modified date March 27, 2024 and the error did not happen. There is possible bug or feature in the selenium-manager code and chrome version 127.0.6533.89 and associated chrome driver. I had another code which was using the older version of selenium-manager and worked. The only difference between the two versions I can see is the use of AngleSharp parser. Sorry about replying to the wrong post.

Are you using WebDriverManager? If not, I recommend using WebDriverManager in your code. It will automatically manage the driver binaries, ensuring you always use the correct version of ChromeDriver compatible with your Chrome browser. This helps avoid compatibility issues and keeps your setup up-to-date with the latest versions.

The latest releases of selenium 4.x does not require anything additional for setting up browsers configuring drivers etc., Selenium comes baked with selenium manager which does all of this under the hoods.
