From the EULA on Microsoft's site, it contains this:
3. SCOPE OF LICENSE. The software is licensed, not sold. Microsoft reserves all other rights. Unless applicable law gives you more rights despite this limitation, you will not (and have no right to):
e) share, publish, distribute, or lease the software, provide the software as a stand-alone offering for others to use, or transfer the software or this agreement to any third party.

This seems to run contrary to the Apache license that Selenium is generally released under, and the zips include the EULA and LICENSE files, which further seems to confuse things since to some, the EULA would appear to add restrictions to redistribution that the license grants.  is there any clarification to which is actually in force?  So can a commercial application include the Edge WebDriver to be used for some web automation functions without issue?  Or is there something else to take into consideration here?  It seems like the EULA is just standard Microsoft boilerplate they put in everything, but it does seem to muddy the waters with what the license says.

I tried searching to see if anything talked about this, and everything SEEMS to indicate it should be fine, but with the wording in the EULA, it's confusing.   If this has been talked about and documented somewhere, please do point it out.  Like I said, I see stuff talking about how it's under the Apache license and allowed, but not talk about what the EULA added from Microsoft does.

Thanks for any information anyone can give.

Yes good observation. Selenium is not the same as EdgeDriver, ChromeDriver, GeckoDriver, etc. They are developed by different teams and therefore probably have different license agreements with end users.
