Selenium IDE is no longer maintained and will not be updated. The extension for Firefox still works if you want to use that.

As we know, Selenium IDE is no longer supported on Chrome, and while it still works on Firefox, there's no guarantee how long that will continue. I've created a large number of tests using the Selenium IDE Chrome extension and have the .side file saved locally. However, when attempting to export these tests for moving to WebDriver, I'm encountering several issues — such as errors with XPath locators and even with basic commands like open. These issues are making the migration to WebDriver quite challenging and frustrating.

I am having the same problem. I used to do a manual install of the extension and that worked for a while until yesterday. I realized that there is a new standalone selenium IDE app. I installed it on my Windows machine but I could not make my existing .side projects working.

I wonder
1) where can I see dome documents or demo on how to migrate the selenium IDE browser version .side into the standalone version app.
2) is there anyway I can manually build the Selenium IDE extension using Google V3 and then use it in Latest Chrome?
3) I know the Selenium IDE extension can still be used in Firefox. However, I am having trouble with Firefox. My application has a very strict security policy and I cannot login. When I try user ID and password, I will get error " call to eval() blocked by CSP ".

Thank you Corey.

That is a surprise to me. I thought the standalone Selenium IDE Electron version is going to be the replacement of the Browser based Selenium IDE. If that is no longer supported, then what would be the replacement of Selenium IDE? Is it the end of life? The Selenium IDE users who have many test projects will need to move on to something else?

I am looking for advice.

Thanks,
