And why would you want to deploy selenium server on port 80 for the remote ip address ? What exactly are you trying to achieve here ? Care to elaborate more ?

Hi everyone,
I am new to selenium. I am testing this web-based application that resides on a remote PC and accessible via. port 80.
How can I deploy the selenium server on port 80 for the remote ip address?

The application works on a remote IP. I bypassed the proxy for mozilla to run the application on the local desktop. I have recorded the scripts using the IDE on the local desktop itself. But when I run those script using RC, it doesn't go beyond this point:
DefaultSelenium("localhost", 4444, "*chrome", "https://abcd.com/")

The testcase doesn't run beyond this point as the application won't open.
I have tried changing localhost to remote IP and port 4444 to 80. But it doesn't work that way.

Here is an example of how I start mine, which registers with a hub looks like this:
java -jar selenium-server-standalone.jar -role webdriver -hub http://%HUB_IP%:%HUB_PORT%/grid/register -port %PORT%

As you can see, I use environment variables to control the port numbers and IP address to use for the hub and the node.
