Is it possible to use WebElement with a userContext (Bidi) ?

I watched the presentation " Parallel Testing Redefined: The Browserpooling Method - Puja Jagani" on YouTube.

If I understand correctly, it is not possible to use WebElements with a user context. You have to use RemoteWebElement, right? If you already have tests that use WebElements, do you have to rewrite them?
