Here is my system configuration :

Assuming you have installed 1.7.2 of the IDE, does it show up in your Add-ons list?  Tools (or Edit for *nix systems) --> Options --> General --> Manage Add-ons

If it is not there, how did you install it, exactly?

I would remove it, download a fresh copy, and reinstall.  The Options button works fine in Firefox 11 for me.  I am running on a 32-bit XP system, but that should not matter.

Download the IDE using Firefox browsers would be the easiest way to get it done.

I just had a thought.  You said you on on a 64-bit Win7 system...  Do you have a 64-bit Firefox and a 64-bit version of Java installed, or is one of those two items 64-bit and the other 32-bit?

Someone else recently posted that only by making his Firefox and JDK both the same (32-bit in his case) was he able to get Selenium tests working correctly.  So apparently mixing a Java and Browser using different word sizes has issues.  You might check to see if that is the problem here.
