Issue in Edge browser driver.getWindowHandles()

  In Selenium Java, 

I opened a new tab through a link from the parent page, but driver.getWindowHandles() is returning a size of 1 instead of 2. This issue occurs with the recent Edge browser version 136.0.3240.50, whereas it worked perfectly fine in the previous version. Now, whenever I open any URL in the new tab, driver.getWindowHandles() consistently returns a size of 1.
