Start selenium hub with selenium server version 4 alpha

Does anyone has some instructions how to start selenium grid hub and nodes with version 4 alpha of selenium server?

I wanted to tests the new version, but I'm not able to start the hub. I run the java -jar selenium-server-4.0.0-alpha-1.jar -role hub command and received the error "no main manifest attribute, in selenium-server-4.0.0-alpha-1.jar". I guess this error because it's not the standalone version.

Anyone did this?

Johnny,

I dont think the selenium fat jars (or the standalones as they are called) are getting published to Maven Central.

So downloading a jar from Maven central and then trying to run a selenium grid is not going to work for you.

You need to download the fat jar from https://selenium-release.storage.googleapis.com/index.html?path=4.0/ 

Once you have the fat jar, you should be able to spin off a Hub and a node like how you have always done it.
