Best tool for automating Chrome extension keybinding configuration (Video Speed Controller and Vimium)?

I'm currently exploring options for automating the process of configuring keybindings for Chrome extensions, specifically [Video Speed Controller](https://github.com/igrigorik/videospeed) and [Vimium](https://github.com/philc/vimium). I've considered using AppleScript, Selenium, and Hammerspoon.

One approach I'm thinking about is using Selenium to open the extension's configuration page in Chrome and then executing JavaScript code to configure the keybindings. However, I'm not sure if Selenium is the best choice for this task, considering its primary use case is for testing your patience.
