This morning I open my selenium IDE 2.9.1 to execute my regresion test, and I found a java error at the beginning of the execution. As usual, I delete de complements (Selenium addons) in order to install them again, and for my surprise, this complements aren't available on the Firefox Extensions site. What can we do now? Selenium IDE 2.9.1 without extensions is nothing.

Hi, looks like we were the only two who managed to keep Selenium IDE going until the 2.9.1 addon disappeared.

I tried the latest Selenium IDE but it couldn't handle my scripts and kept hitting an e undefined error when trying to import the files which I had to rename from html to htm.

Not sure how far you got, but I started moving to Katalon Recorder (free for Chrome + Firefox). It takes Selenium IDE files and also takes the user-extension files, but doesn't seem to read the global variables from the globals extension. So looking to create a globals file for each test suite. Meaning it's more like a local variables file.

They also have Katalon Studio which apparently handles globals better, but may be a step up from the simplicities of our HTML files.

cheers
Phil

Hi Phil.

Some time ago I noticed that Selenium IDE 2.9.1 wouldn't last much longer, and I started working in Katalon Studio in order to migrate everything. This migration takes a lot of time and I was still using and maintaining the script in Selenium IDE when that tragedy broke out that Saturday. I tried to compile manually the "Selenium IDE: Flow Control" and after installed manually, but nothing worked. I'm resigned for the moment, trying to move fast to Katalon Studio.

Hey, sorry that migrating to the latest IDE didn't work out for you, we are actively working on improving that, including removing the need to rename the files.
Also we will start working on export to Java in the next month.
That being said I'm afraid that user-extension is gone for good for the new IDE.

Tomer, any chance of making the 2.9.1 add-on available again until you are ready for us to migrate?

I can't re-enable it on the store, it was disabled by Mozilla, you would have to build it yourself.

Cheers,
Tomer
