How can I become selenium contributor

Selenium project can for sure use your help in the following ways:

 

1. User support – Lot of users have questions on various aspects of Selenium for which they are always looking for help. You could help the selenium project by answering peoples question on Selenium on the Selenium Google forums mailing list (or) on StackOverflow (or) on the Selenium IRC Channel.
2. Documentation – The selenium documentation is also looking for a help in terms of making it better. So you could send in pull requests to the selenium documentation project on github
3. Code contribution – Everyday there are a lot of bugs being filed on the selenium issues page. There are only a limited set of extremely dedicated Selenium dev folks who devote their freetime to this project. So, within that limited time, they may not be able to get to all the bugs in time. You could help in the following ways:
1. Triage bugs to see if you can reproduce the issue. If you can reproduce the issue, enrich the bug with more details such as a sample test (or) a sample page etc.,
2. Fix bugs by sending pull requests

 

All of these are contributions to the selenium project. Pick what works for you and contribute!
