Workshop Overview

This advanced-level course is designed to bring testing professionals
who use Selenium to a new level of skill with the tool. Testers will
learn how to use advanced Selenium features to enhance Selenium
automated test suites using the Eclipse IDE Editor. Hands-on
instruction is provided for those who want to explore the power of
using Selenium. The focus is on the practical application of Selenium
to resolve web automated testing challenges with sophistication.

ANGUS Consultant comes with 12 years of experience in IT. Praveen has
hands on experience in Testing and Automation. He has worked for the
reputed companies like Wipro, Dell R & D, Tektronix& ADA. Praveen has
delivered trainings specialized in Software Testing,Test Automation
and Opensource tool to some of the clients such as Persistent, Exfo,
chemtech, Tektronix, Dell, Computer Associates, Knowledge Works,
Intuit, Accenture, HCL & Nokia. He has imparted training in these
areas in India and Australia. He has also conducted workshops on Test
Automation & Framework, Complete Test Automation using JMeter and soap
UI. ANGUS Consultant has B.E. ( E & C) in electronics to his credit.


Intended Audience
The target audience is software testers who are seeking to automate
the testing of web applications using Selenium at a high technical
level. This course is designed primarily for testing professionals who
use Selenium. The audience might also include quality assurance
practitioners, managers, or team leaders who are responsible for
interacting with testers or who need to ensure that the tools are
being implemented fully and appropriately.

Prerequisites
To benefit from this course, you should have..... At least 3 months of
experience implementing automated testing with Selenium (recommended)
or Some software development experience (recommended) General
understanding of web-based applications (desired) . Knowledge of Java
programming is not a prerequisite for this course, but such knowledge
is beneficial.

• Dynamically capture data from web controls
• Design a data-driven testing framework in Selenium

• Capturing Objects with XPath
• Data Capture and Validation
• Regular Expressions and Pattern-based Verification
• Using External Libraries (i.e. DLLS, other)
• Logging Options (Excel, JUnit, etc.)
• Data Driving in Selenium with Excel files
• Exception Handling (Selenium exception classes)
• Utilize JDBC (Java database connectivity) to perform SQL calls
• File Input/Output
• Selenium Grid tests (distributed testing)
