org.openqa.selenium.SessionNotCreatedException: session not created: This version of ChromeDriver only supports Chrome version 74

Hi guys,

Yesterday night everything was running with no problems but today morning I found out that no test could be run with the following errors on initiating chrome

org.openqa.selenium.SessionNotCreatedException: session not created: This version of ChromeDriver only supports Chrome version 74

We updated chrome to the latest version 73.0.3683.75 on 4 laptops and this resolved the problem on linux machines but not on windows.

Chrome version 74 is still in beta so I am not sure how to proceed.

Is anybody experiencing the same problem?

Sure. Everybody experiences this problem today. It's because chromedriver 74 has been released (and WebDriverManager automatically downloads it), but Chrome 74 hasn't been released yet.

Upgrade to Selenide 5.2.1, hopefully it should help.

I updated and it didn't help. We will try on another windows machine and I will post update here.

We did this on second Windows machine and it didn't work either.

For now only linux machines work even on older selenide versions with chrome 73.

So we tried everything but still it doesn't work on windows :(
