Reference sequence for Drought Tolerance prediction using selene-sdk

Hello everybody
I am a beginner user with Selene-sdk and I want to develop a model (Deep-Learning) for predicting the drought tolerance of plants (such as maize, wheat, etc.).
For this I would like to use the first Tutorial "Gegtting started with selene" for the development of my model. I ask myself the following question: Can I use the reference sequence (“hg19.fa”) for training my model or do I need another specific sequence for plants and which one?
