Hi,

We are aware of both of the issues, and we are also aware of the accessibility issues that they present. Unfortunately I have limited time to do accessibility testing right now, and on Windows I'm without a screen reader (have any recommendations?), so it makes testing fairly difficult.

1. This is being tracked at the following GitHub issue: Arrow keys do not change value of select

We have plans for the future to allow users to be able to change the value of the select using just the "up" and "down" arrow keys, without requiring them to open the dropdown first in order to do it. Unfortunately these are not as high of a priority on our list, as opening the dropdown does solve the issue (for now).

You can open the dropdown using "enter", "space", or "alt" and the "down" arrow.

2. This is being tracked at the following GitHub issue: Typing Doesn't Trigger Search

think you're referring to the issue when you try to type into the select box when it is closed, but you may be referring to typing in the search box when the dropdown is open. If you're referring to the dropdown search, it'd be useful to know what steps you are taking and what appears to be happening.

Hi kevin,

Thanks for u reply fisrt, and for the screen reader purpose we use JAWS - You can download it from the download link. It's a trial version which requires the system restart of every 40 mnts.

Issue 1 - While key press on select box, the choices should be changed

As your mentioned i agree for this.

Issue 2 -  It's not reading when i type to search in filter

When i type in search or when i press down arrow keys after enter into select 2 box, it should read out the choices by the screen reader. But it is not at all reading anything and i need a fix for that too

Download the screen reader and check your official site with that, you can find the difference between normal combo box box reading and select 2 combo box reading.

Thanks,
Anand Gopinath
