DETAILS:

Speaker: Gema Parreno, Data scientist at BBVA

Title: TensorFlow 2.0

Bio: Gema Parreno is a Data scientist at BBVA. She has worked with more than 10 national and international projects dedicated to digital product design and had her own videogame startup. Recently Gema has developed significant Tensorflow use cases that were awarded by NASA Space Apps Challenge for a Neural Network Architecture for Asteroid Classification and Impact Prediction. Follow her path on twitter @SoyGema

Abstract: In this talk, Gema will give an overview of TensorFlow 2.0 and will introduce the most recent updates and features. Gema will also share use case with sequence model and credit card operations, including a performance benchmarking with the same use case usingkeras.

#TALK 2

Speaker: Mark van der Wilk, Machine Learning Researcher at Prowler

Title: Introduction to Gaussian processes using TensorFlow based library GPflow

Bio: Mark is a machine learning researcher at PROWLER.io, working on automatic and uncertainty-aware deep learning algorithms based on Gaussian processes, for use in model-based reinforcement learning. He finished his PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2017, during which he worked on applied machine learning projects at various companies, including Google.

Abstract: Mark will give an introduction to Gaussian processes using the TensorFlow based library GPflow. He will give a brief overview of Gaussian processes (with nice visualisations!), give some examples based on the software, and present some recent research directions. It will be a mix of a tutorial, software overview, and some research highlights.
