EKS required?

Is EKS required to install/run Seldon? The reason I ask is that the AWS region that we're required to use does not yet support EKS.

You do need a kubernetes cluster to run/install Seldon. So if you are using AWS then EKS would probably it.

Unfortunately, my AWS region does not support the EKS service. So, I guess what I'm asking is this: if I set up and manage kubernetes fully myself, rather than using EKS, will I be able to then install Seldon on that self-managed kubernetes cluster? Or does Seldon use some EKS-specific APIs or something like that?

Seldon is not EKS specific. Its needs a k8s cluster >= 1.12.
