I am using CUPS 2.2.11 and brother-mfc-j6530dw 1.0.1-0 (aur).
No matter what I try from the CUPS setup and default options or from the print dialogs of various programs, the printer output is always cropped to letter size; even when printing the CUPS test page.
After a lot of messing with the config files from Brother I managed to get an A3 print working. What I did was change the default papertype, pagesize and pageregion from letter to A3 in the following files:
So now I can print A3, but I can no longer print A4, unless I change the files again.
I guess I could set up two separate printers in CUPS, one for A4 and one for A3, but there has to be a way to fix this right?
Thanks for the suggestion lone_wolf, but unfortunately that does not work, the output is still cropped.
It seems to me like something in the drivers is overwriting whatever papersize CUPS requests.
If you're using Windows and you've installed a Brother driver, VueScan's built-in drivers won't conflict with this. If you haven't installed a Windows driver for this scanner, VueScan will automatically install a driver.
