Installation issue with rgdal

Hello, first time using these Google groups. 

I'm having a problem installing the R package because 'rgdal' is not available in my R version (I will post the error message at the end of this post). Maybe going back to an older version of R could work? I'm afraid that maybe the code I'm doing doesn't work in older versions due to incompatibilities with other packages I'm using.
