Fishers Freedom Festival Parade Update

Just a message to the entire group, that I received confirmation that
the Parade committee received our application (which I mailed to them
months ago), and I should be receiving a parade participation packet
with ribbons and other items within two weeks.

I'll keep everyone posted as I had last year about where to meet and
when, as well as other information.

Remember to think about decorating your Segways in the stars and
stripes, or red, white, and Blue, etc. Stu Bloom has already started
to get things for his ride.

Another item for thought. Will, last year suggested that we meet up
early before our official meeting time, and practice some routines for
the parade itself. I think that's a wonderful idea.

For now, please remember to set aside the afternoon of Sunday, June
29th for the parade.

Where we meet (if we all decide to meet earlier and practice routines)
is dictated on what areas of the official pre-parade meeting area
we're slotted to meet on, and what areas are free. I usually get sent
a map which I forward on to the rest of the group after I get it.

In the past we have all coordinated through this medium and it works
out fine.

I am also going to bring out the Polo Mallets and ball so we can give
Segway Polo a try.

I will map out the routines we have used in DC SEG for parades and
post them as well!

I very much want to start a Segway Polo team in Indy... If we have at least four people, why don't we get together well before the event, maybe starting in June and practice? Getting a team together would be great!
