Dear All ,
Japan's Meteorological Agency said a moderate Mb 5.1-magnitude earthquake rattled Tokyo city again on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 07:59:49 PM local Japan time at the epicenter. There were no immediate reports of damage.
The tremor struck 50 kilometers (30 miles) underground at 7:59 pm (1059 GMT) in the Pacific Ocean just off the coast of Ibaraki prefecture, northeast of Tokyo. The earthquake could be felt in the heart of the capital.The USGS estimates epicenter at 110 km (65 miles) NE of Tokyo at 36.454°N, 140.448°E. The estimated focal depth is 39.9 km (24.8 miles) according to USGS.
The earthquake came just two days after another moderate earthquake hit Ibaraki prefecture, which also caused buildings to shake in Tokyo.
