When I type a sentence in Hebrew - let's say for the title of a source sheet - if there is punctuation at the end of the line it ends up on the right side instead of the left.

Like this:

בוקר טוב!

Is there a way to change this?

Thanks,

David

Hi David

We're aware of this issue and believe it is limited to source sheet titles on the site. We do plan on fixing it, though we believe it only effects a small number of users and have put it lower down on our list of fixes. Have you seen it elsewhere on the site?

Thanks so much!
Russel

I haven't seen it elsewhere on the site. I don't know how many users it affects, but it's certainly frustrating when trying to make a source sheet with punctuation in the title.

As a hack, if you copy the invisible character in the box at the website below and add it after your punctuation it should solve the issue: http://www.mclean.net.nz/ucf/?c=U+200F

HI, i am finding the same issue when typing english.  When i want to add a comment block to my source sheet i often find it starts automatically inserting the words from right to left, when i switch it to left-right, the punctuation still shows up at the front of the line (unless i add more text after the punctuation and then it seems to get it right--so its the final sentence that never gets correct punctuation.

Hi,

Comments on source sheets now should automatically properly detect if the comment is in Hebrew or English and adjust the layout of punctuation properly. If you're not currently seeing this behavior, please let me know.

Best,
Russel

sorry, just saw this response,  i am still experiencing this issue.  in fact, i just sent an email to hello@... as follows:

I have a question for which i can't seem to find an answer.  For some reason, over the last few weeks, every time i try and add a "comment" section to a source sheet, it defaults to a "right-to-left" format.  While the words appear normal on the screen, punctuation ends up on the wrong side (so that the last sentence will not have punctuation).

while i, at times, add hebrew words to a comment section, they are mostly in English.

have others noticed this problem?

Hi,

1. What web browesr are you using?
2. Do you have a link to an example of this occurring?

The expected behavior is that the text should auto detect whether the comment is more Hebrew or more english and then apply the proper formatting.

Best,
Russel

This appears to be a bug that may have been introduced into firefox in a recent build. I'll try to get it fixed shortly.
