Need to raise a total of $3M for Bihar by October 2020 to start construction - $900K already raised

Dear SEF-SoCal Visionaries,

Bihar is a very needy state and by building a new 350 bed Eye Hospital with Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital (AJEH) to perform an additional 50,000+ free eye surgeries every year in Bihar, we will be playing a substantial role in eradicating curable blindness in Bihar.  With the existing hospital already performing more than 50,000 free surgeries, this additional capacity will lead to performing more than 100,000 free eye surgeries annually in MastiChak, Bihar.

Tentative budget for this project is $6M and if we raise $3M and AJEH raises $1M by October 2020 for a total of $4M, the construction can start in October and complete in 2021.  We have already raised $900K and $2.1M to go.  This will be our major project of the year 2020.  Mumbai needs another $500K to complete our commitment and Sonal will be contacting all of you.

Will provide a lot of details about Bihar and AJEH and you can see the need.  When you approach a potential donor, please go with full conviction.  Don't ever think "I am not a Bihari and he or she is not a Bihari.  How can I ask and will they donate?".   You have a huge organization - SEF - standing with you with.a track record of performing over two million surgeries already and a planned 250,000 free eye surgeries this year alone.  So far, barring a few Hospitals where the donors from a particular state played a major-major role, donors hailing from all over India supported many of our Hospitals.   This is for the Visually handicapped of our country and you can right royally ask for help.  No hesitation at all.  We need bring back Bihar to its past glory.  India can be a developed country only if Bihar also develops.

We have challenged AJEH that  if we raise $3M by October 2020, will they be able to raise a million dollars and start the construction?  They said YES and they are very motivated by our energy and our volunteer/donor strength and our track record.  

This is an ambitious project and that is why we took it up knowing very well that SEF, USA can do it.   Right?
