What is the rehearsal schedule?
Weekly rehearsals starting the first week of August through the end of
October. Either on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings in

INFORMATION FOR AUDITIONERS

4 & 9 Productions is holding auditions for 2 improvisers (or
improvising actors) for its fall show, Grim Whimsy.

Grim Whimsy is a comic and macabre show that is completely improvised
around Gothic horror themes. The show is not a parody, nor is it
intended to be particularly scary for the audience. It should be
delightfully eerie with the performers exploring themes of fear and
suspense. Think Edgar Allan Poe and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, not
zombies or chain-saws. Each Grim Whimsy will have a completely new
story improvised on the spot and be underscored with music.

In the audition, we will be looking for performers who capture the
unique tone and spirit of the piece. We also want to see if you relate
to and enjoy the format and specific improvising process used to
create the piece.
