Hello all!
It's been a long time since I've sent out an update, so I thought I'd
take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy holiday season and
catch up!
"The Fifth Musketeer" was well-received at Fringe this year and we had
a great time performing it, despite the insane heat! Thanks to those
who came out to see the show! I am working with the inestimable
Cameron McNary to produce his new play, "Of Dice and Men". This funny
and touching play about a group of gamers and what happens when one of
them decides to enlist and gets shipped out to Iraq has special
meaning for me, as it was inspired by my husband's first deployment.
It has already had a reading at the Inkwell Festival and was
thoroughly enjoyed by the audience and the actors in the reading. Look
for it on a stage near you next year!
In other news, I have started a new day job! I am now working for the
Food and Drug Administration, operating a small video production
studio for the division that handles training for all of our
investigators. It's a great chance to learn more about the production
side of the film industry and a wonderful place to work.
I've also joined a team for the POLAR BEAR PLUNGE and will be
cannonballing into the Chesapeake Bay on January 30th, 2010 to raise
money for MD Special Olympics. Team Iron Nips would very much
appreciate your help with this! We are currently in FOURTH PLACE of
all the teams participating. Help us get to first by donating or by
joining the team and taking the plunge with us!
