Hi There,

Im developing a plugin where i need to add a dropdown with options like in facebook/twitter plugin. eg: "notifications", "status updates", "photos" etc... could you tell me how this can be done. if there are any code examples it would help me a lot.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thank you,
bala.

Hi,

@Bala: here's the blog post explaining the direction: http://blog.seesmic.com/latest-updates-and-news-from-seesmic.html

@Djordje: thanks for your suggestion. we definitely have this on our table, but there are some legal and technical constraints that make this task harder than it seems.

HI George,

Thank you for the details. Could you also tell me if support for Plugin development by 3rd party vendors is available on Ping?. if so could you point me to the related resources please as i couldn't find anything related.

Thank you,
Bala.

We don't offer plugin development for Ping, but we're building and API that allows third parties to build apps over our service. The API is currently in beta and you can find some preliminary docs here:

For any questions, feel free to reach at seesmic...@seesmic.com.

We'll be setting up a discussion group for the API soon.

Thanks,
George

We currently don't have a product called 'Seesmic Classic'. Can you clarify exactly what product are you referring to?

Ah, I got it now :)

Going forward, we'll focus on supporting and developing the Ping line of products.

As for Seesmic Classic, we won't be supporting 3rd party integrations.

Thanks,
George
