Continuing the Session or Taking a Pause

Assalamu alaykum everyone,

On Wednesday we had a session of the Seeker's Circle after a brief period without meeting. Thank you to the three sisters that came and as usual, my dear brothers were woefully underrepresented!

I spoke briefly there with our generous hosts at Faith House and was told that things usually slow down there for summer and that they often have a somewhat different program going on in the House. They did not suggest that we couldn't continue having the Circle there, but rather just that we would need to discuss the details a bit more.

What I would like to know from the rest of you is whether you want to keep having the sessions, perhaps until we finish the current course (next week would be lesson 5b of 7 lessons which are up currently) or if would you like to take a break for the summer right now. Many of you definitely want to break during Ramadan, but the question is, do we have enough people that plan to come during the next 4-5 weeks?

Personally, I think it would be best to at least continue until we finish what is posted of the course material. If you intend to come regularly during that time, please confirm with me here. I'd like to know for sure that we have at least a core group of people planning to participate.

Thanks Joshua for mentioning your interest to start participating. Unfortunately, you are the only one to say that you would attend over the upcoming weeks.

Unless I hear from at least a few people very soon that really plan to come consistently to sessions over the next few weeks (including this Wednesday), it appears that it may be best to hold off for now until later in the summer, likely after Ramadan.

I'll keep my eyes open for any replies and will confirm what is happening this week and those to come, tomorrow.

I had thought we might get one or two more people for tomorrow, but even without that, I figured we had a small handful and could give it a try.

Unfortunately, at this point it looks like we're actually going backwards. Given the situation and although I appreciate the few people that expressed interest, it seems best not to hold the session tomorrow at least.

If something changes and we get several more individuals eager to come over the next few weeks, we can reconsider, but if not, it seems most appropriate to pause until after Ramadan.
