BismIllah,

As salamu alaykum and Ramadan kareem to all,

May this month be filled with blessings, acts of sincere worship, service to one another, and increased closeness to Allah and Rasool Allah, sallah Allahu alayhi wassalam,

I came across this article on the importance of female scholars and our etiquette with scholars in general. InshAllah we can all benefit from it.

Please consider sharing it with others, and if you know of any female scholars, whether local or accessible online, please send me their names, and inshAllah we can create a repertoire for all.

The limited list of female scholars I know or have heard of is below, please help populate it:

Ottawa:
Ustadha Hanan (Sh Youssef Berrada's wife)
Shehnaz Karim (Sh Hamdi's wife)

online
Umm Umar (Sh. Farraz's wife - http://seekersguidance.org/teachers/shireen-ahmed)
Anse Tamara Gray (http://rabata.org/)
Umm Hassan (Imam Zaid's wife)

Sorry if I've forgotten anyone.

Wal alaikum assalam Nada,

Jazaki Allahu khairan for your email. Have you heard of Shaykha Fest? I just heard of it recently. Check it out: http://alrawiya.org/shaykhafest/

I'm not sure if any of the speakers are accessible online but it may be worth looking into some of them iA.

Ramadan Mubarak my dear :)
