Hello,

I want access ASSD extension over SPI bus in order to provide an Arduino with a secure token.
Has anyone ever try to make them communicate ?

I don't know if access to the secure token (a G&D MSC) requires more than 50mA (the limit provided by the Arduino Uno).

Let me know if you have more information about it,
regards,
Pierre-François Bonnefoi.

Hi Pierre-Francios,

I hope this is what you're locking for.
The power limitation depends on the used µSD card, the current big ones (64GB without ASSD) needs up to 450mA
but the small ones could live with 50mA - I'm not sure about this.

I have to correct me !
All SD-cards are defined to use at 3.6V less than 100mA(0.36W), with the XPC (SDXC Power Control) feature in ACMD41 (since SD 3.0x) you can switch to "Maximum Performance" with a max consumption of 150mA(0.54W).

Hi Pierre-François,

Were you able to access ASSD over the SPI bus? If you were able to do that, could you provide any guidance or pointers on how to make that work? Thanks.
