February, 2008 THANK YOU FROM SEEDS OF COMPASSION Things have been very busy since the Seeds of Compassion event. As such, I haven’t had an opportunity to express my gratitude in person for the opportunity to work with you on such an important and historic event. As you know, with over 150,000 attendees, and a reach of over 70 million globally through web and media coverage, Seeds of Compassion had a scope and an impact beyond anything we have expected or experienced in this region’s history.It has taken the Kirlin Foundation a great deal longer than we ever imagined to reconcile all of the follow-up requirements from the event. Once the event was concluded, we no longer had a volunteer staff, so a few of us at the Kirlin Foundation took on the hundreds of follow-up items to close out the event. As part of that process, we have finally sorted through all of the almost 40,000 photographs that pertain to the event: http://www.seedsofcompassion.org/photos/ The photos are organized by event. When you click on the event link you will be directed to a photo service called Pictage. You can page through the photos for that event, edit and crop the photo(s) you select right on the site. Pictage will then print them and send them to you. All proceeds from these photographs will be used to pay for the photos and any surplus will support the ongoing costs of the Seeds of Compassion follow-on programs. Also please note that the photographers who so generously contributed their time and talent to take these photos hold the copyright to them. Please help us respect the copyright and not allow the photos to be used for anything but personal use unless approved by Seeds of Compassion. Thank you.
