Seeds of Compassion Is

Good to Grow!

Starts This Friday, April 11

Workshops Galore! Free to All, First Come, First Serve

Seeds of Compassion is about ideas and inspiration and, most importantly, it’s about offering practical tools to help us all grow in kindness, and learn how to take better care of the children whose lives we touch.  Our launch event features almost 60 different workshops on a wide range of topics, all free and open to the public on a first come, first serve basis.  There are chances to learn and explore mindful parenting, compassionate medicine, creative storytelling, community building, applied brain science, performing from the heart and so much more.  You can also take advantage of a quiet area for reflection and conversation.

We hope you’ll join us to learn how to put compassion into action.  To find a complete list of workshops and locations, check out these links on our web site:

“The Compassion Song” Can Be Yours

Musician Dan Connolly has written a wonderful song that expresses the heart of Seeds of Compassion.  Called simply “The Compassion Song,” its smooth acoustic rock harmonies and moving lyrics stir up feelings of warmth and love.  Now Dan has generously made his song available to benefit our program.  For only a dollar, you can download the track at http://cdbaby.com/cd/connollydan/  All proceeds go to Seeds of Compassion.  Why not spread the joy of Dan’s moving music and raise money, too?!  Let your friends know about the opportunity.  It doesn’t take long for those dollars to accumulate and grow the compassion movement.

Donations Still Welcome!

Remember: the Seeds of Compassion launch event is only the beginning of a sustainable initiative to nurture kindness and compassion in the world starting with children and all those who touch their lives.  Your generous gifts are still very welcome and will help to ensure that Seeds of Compassion extends far into the future, reaching across Washington State, to the nation and the world, for the benefit of children everywhere.  Here’s the link to our on-line giving form:

Thank You! Thank You!  A Thousand Times Thank YOU!

Working together to realize the vision of Seeds of Compassion has been an extraordinary experience.  As we look forward to the imminent arrival of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and all our other wonderful guests, we are deeply aware of the huge contributions of so many people.  You have extended yourselves mightily – cheerfully and generously – and we are profoundly grateful for your astonishing, extraordinary, marvelous help!  Really, there are no words for what you have all done, joining together to demonstrate and experience our “collective heart.”  Thank you!

We’ll see you, friends, round and about,

Because, dear ones, it’s time to sprout!
