Thank you everyone for making this choir such an awe-inspiring and powerful experience!
Tonight's rehearsal
The rehearsal was truly amazing. With about 800 folks at rehearsal, this represented about half of the choir. The voices sounded spectacular and the children were just perfect. Saturday's performance with all of the voices supported with professional sounds equipment should be utterly spectacular.
We were also joined by many members of the media this evening -- photographers, journalists, film crews and radio crews are all taking a very active interest in this process.
Tickets
Everyone on this list should have a physical ticket in their hands by now. All of the remaining tickets are in the process of being returned for reassignment. As a final reminder, you must have a ticket to enter Qwest stadium. No ticket = no entrance.
Final Seating Instructions
As anticipated, we will be seating folks on a first-come, first-served basis rather than by their assigned ticket numbers. Please go to the section marked on your ticket and one of our very friendly usher / choir members will help you find a seat. Seats are going to be marked by soprano, alto and tenor for adults singing those parts. The family seating sections will be marked by schools. Don't worry, this is going to be both chaotic and beautiful and you are going to be surrounded by warm and loving faces and voices. -- It is all going to be so smooth, you won't believe we arranged seating for 3600 people.
Ushers
Speaking of friendly ushers, if this sounds like a job for you please email Wendy at
wenm...@yahoo.com and she will assign you a shift and give you all the yummy details.
Day of Event Info
Everything is posted to the google group. If you can't access the group, mostly likely, you just need to create a google account and that will be a typically graceful experience for each of us.
Confusing or conflicting information
There is a lot of good information about the Seeds of Compassion events and a lot of speculation that looks like good information. I have tried to sort through those batches over the last few weeks and only post information that is solid and confirmed at least twice by event organizers. Even so, there are some gaps in what we know. If you require clarification on what to expect, please contact Qwest directly so that you feel that you and your families personal needs are addressed.
Strollers are a great example of this. Two sources have told me absolutely no strollers and another source has told me that you may check your stroller at the guest service booth. All I can say is what a spectacular opportunity to test your ability to be flexible. Be flexible about what ever you can and for the things that you must have a hard answer, please contact Qwest directly.
Thank you everyone once again. This is an amazing experience.
