Greetings Everyone:

I have ported Sedona's VM onto my Linux device. I am able to access the instance through a web based browser however, I am unable to log in through the CPT tool. I receive an error message as shown below. Can someone please help explain what is going on and how I can fix it?

Have you installed kit manifests in data folter in CPT tool?
But I thought that CPT tool can be used only with easyio controllers.

I thought CPT would work because the README.txt file link below suggested that i could use a Niagara station. I thought the CPT tool would fall under this category.

I also loaded the kit manifests into CPT and received the error below.

Sorry, I've never used sedona workbench. I think it's not maintained anymore.

As I know earlier versions of CPT tool were able to connect to any
sedona controllers. But the last I used worked only with controllers
that has vendor='easyio' in their sedona platform desciptions.
But maybe with latest version something has changed.

Niagara 3.8 should be ok.

Are you sure that file rpiDigitalIo-b1afa98d.xml does exist at C:\Sedona\manifests\rpiDigitalIo?

As I understand from your last screenshot, you have configured sedona data folder in CPT tool to point to
'C:\Sedona'.
Is it correcct?

So in this folder CPT tool tries to find all kits and platform
manifests. But it can find it there, because your real sedona data
folder should be 'C:\sedona-rpi'.

Try to use 'C:\sedona-rpi' as sedona data folder in CPT tool.

Do these files exist in the corresponding directory?

That's the problem. These files are distributed in m.zip archive.
Unpack it into manifest directory.

I'm pretty uncertain of what the issue is. Can you please help me log in to the sedona app?

I'm not sure, but probably the issue is here, that CPT tool connects
only to easyio's controllers.

Can you suggest a free alternative for me to log into the the sedona instance? I believe you have to pay for Niagara 3.8.

Hi, Chris.

you can try to get SAE at
https://www.ccontrols.com/basautomation/sae.htm
But I've never used it.

And if you are looking for open source PLC with free runtime and IDE,
you may look at Beremiz project.

Thanks for your help! Perhaps you could help me with a separate issue? See provided link. https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!topic/sedonadev/v243-KaBcLg
