Sedona is an open source technology. The potential of enhancing it is there. It's future is up to users and developers utilizing it.

It is the ideal software architecture for field controls with no drawbacks that I can think of. It has more potential than pretty much all proprietary controls frameworks.
Especially now that we have affordable hardware that can support IP connectivity on a unitary level.
Its up to us to support and develop it. All that is needed is a few missing gaps to be filled.
