Dear All,
Many of you must have been wondering as to where does SEdCI stand now. Let me update you on some of the proceedings.
1. We are trying to register SEdCI at New Delhi. Harinder is at it and will soon give you the good news.
2. Ashok has done preliminary work on the website and as soon as we are registered, we will post it on web. The initial one may be a very rudimentary site, but it will give us the required identity.
3. Our President, Dr Atul Nischal is a bit busy, but has promised to get back in his usual self soon.
Some of the actions you may start at your end as the founder members.
1. Prepare your shortlists for inviting additional members for future.
2. Someone with a little flair for writing, please
draft out a common letter for all of us which we shall be able to send as an invitation for the people to join. May I request Harinder to give everyone the final draft.
3. Start sharing the educational ideas and happenings within this group as hithertofore. e.g. Please share your views on RTE and its implications as it may have an implication on the size of bread, some of us are currently keeping on our tables.
On a personal note, I want to share with you that I am involved in two projects of book writing. The first one is a Coffee Table Book for my battalion which is an honorary responsibility I have taken to contribute as the ex-CO. The book will be released on 01 Jan, 2015 which will be the Golden Jubilee Day for the battalion. Second project is a book called, "Digitally Thinking

". The smiley is intentional and part of the
title. It is a futuristic book being compiled by a group of researchers. The timelines are not decided as yert. I have taken on the educational aspects as my share of the burden. May I request for any ideas on the issue as the topic is
still open ended.
I am also planning to pursue Ph.D. in education this year. Any advice?
Hope this will warm up the exchange and dialogues in the group. Waiting to hear the vibrant talks we were having just a few months back. Regards to everyone.
