After installation, I can get no access to internet. I am not even able to ping the gateway. I have two network interfaces:

  • wlp2s0b1: wireless interface for management
  • enp8s0: ethernet interface for sniffing

Please, find attached the output of /etc/network/interfaces in case you need it.

Thanks in advance.

Have you confirmed the same static config for the wireless interface works correctly before setup, or were you puling via DHCP before setup?

Thanks,
Wes

Hello Wes,

I did not do that until now. I can confirm that static ip configuration with wireless interface is NOT working before setup either. Is there any solution for this?

Thanks again.

Hmm, I finally got it working. At least the internet connection. Don't know if it will work for the monitoring. The thing is that it worked adding the following fields to the /etc/network/interfaces file:

wpa-ssid
wpa-psk

If you do not know, wpa-psk is an hexadecimal representation of both ssid and pass. There are online converters for it.

Happy monitoring.
