Hi all,

Trying to create some dashboard after clicking "result options" - "Add to dashboard" I get "You need to create dashboard first"

I am following http://ossectools.blogspot.com/2012/08/elsa-gets-dashboards.html

Creating dashboards is as easy as clicking on the "Results..." button after running a query and choosing "Add to dashboard"

Thanks
Monah

Monah,

You will need to create a dashboard before adding results to it. You can view how to do this here:

https://github.com/mcholste/elsa/wiki/Documentation#Dashboards

Thanks,
Wes

Hi Wes,

For testing purposes, I named the description "test"
For Alias I entered "https://10.160.30.57/elsa/dashboard/test"
Auth "Public"
and kept (paste here for import blank)

It does not save my settings.

Am I doing it wrong?

Thanks
Monah

Monah,

What happens after you click "Submit"?

Have you tried restarting Apache or checking the ELSA logs?

/nsm/elsa/data/elsa/log/*

Please attach the output of sostat-redacted.

Thanks,
Wes

Again, have you tried rebooting or restarting Apache?

Thanks,
Wes

Monah,

First, I would try updating (sudo soup -y) to see if it fixes the issue.

Next, I would try comparing against a fresh install.

Thanks,
Wes
