Interest in a Sabbat game

Hello all,

For AAA we are talking about starting up a Sabbat venue.  Do we have any interest from players, and which night  might you be interested in playing?  Right now we are looking at either 2nd or 4th Fridays.  Let us know if you are interested.

While I understand that Secundus is on hiatus, I think it is shitty form to start poaching nights from the game.

I think that you're overreacting a bit on this.  I certainly understand that Secundus is on hiatus right now, however let me point out several things.

1. Right now this is only an inquiry to players to see if there is any interest in a game, and whether or not there is enough interest in starting a game.

2. While you are correct that Secundus is on hiatus, there was some mention/discussion on whether or not to change Secundus games to only one game a night.

3. We mentioned in the initial posting that we were looking at the possibility of 2nd or 4th Friday, however if there is interest

4. I notice that you don't mention when AAA games where poached by other games.  For example, when AAA was playing on first Saturday, and Ben Blythe started his BNS game on first and third Saturday.

5. If we mentioned aa night that MES is playing, would you still be talking about poaching a night?

Let's have a rational discussion about this, and not let emotions sway our discussion.

I'm certainly not over-reacting. I made a statement on my perception of your polling.

1.  Awesome.  That part is cool!

2. There was one or two emails on it - nothing completed.

3. You have a plethora of other days to select.  1st and 3rd Fridays?  Any of the Saturdays?

4. I'm not a player in AAA, for several reasons of my own. You're correct I did not speak up for it, because I don't play there and I was unaware of anyone poaching from it.

5. Likely not.  Because I understand some people have reasons they won't, or are unable to play in MES games.  I also don't see it as one game in an Organization trying to take a night scheduled for another game in the same Organization.

I am being quite rational.  Don't presume you know me enough to assign emotion to my words.

I think that if there is enough interest, then we should poll those interested for the most popular night.  Personally, I would not have a problem with a Saturday night, and would actually prefer one.  First Fridays however, are the AAA Anarch game, and the third Friday there is a Cam/Anarch game being run by the Lost Chronicles, which both Nate and I are playing in (if anyone is interested contact me or Nate separately),  I think that first, wee really need to find out any interest in a game, and if there is enough interest, what night people would be interested in playing.  Otherwise, we might just be jumping the gun a bit.

You're correct.  You should have just asked if there was interest then moved on to the next step.

Especially when you're avoiding games you don't want to overrun, while picking those you don't mind doing so to.
