The Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI), through its Sub-Committee on Accreditation (SCA), is responsible for reviewing and accrediting NHRIs in compliance with the Paris Principles. It is a rigorous, peer-based process, undertaken by representatives of NHRIs from each of the four regions: Africa, Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe.
A national human rights institution is reviewed by the SCA when:
· it applies for initial accreditation
· it applies for re-accreditation every five years: NHRCI’s last accreditation was in 2023
· the circumstances of the NHRI change in any way that may affect its compliance with the Paris Principles.
When the SCA met in March 2023 our third party submission that you had then also most probably endorsed, was taken into consideration and the following recommendations [See attachment] were passed to the NHRCI and its accreditation was deferred to be held on year late ie. March 2024.
Since we were under real pressure to complete the submission on time we restricted the sharing for comments to a few people and only then got this submission ready and the same has been dispatched with the assurance that we will submit endorsements within one week.
We have now decided to reach out to all our colleagues, for a wider endorsement process – similar to what we did for UPR-IV and the earlier ANNI - AiNNI third party report in October 2022 and also to request you to share the report in all your networks / platforms / movements /organizations to ensure thousands of endorsements. This will help GANHRI/SCA bodies understand the acceptance of the present third party report among civil society and grassroots activists.
We appeal to you for your complete cooperation in this regard.
In light of the above, the action to be undertaken by you are as follows:
1. Your endorsement:
Your endorsement may be as an organisation / platform / network / trade union / political party /association / even as a publicly well-known and reputed individual / expert on NHRCI. As far as possible, our suggestion is that getting endorsements from organizations would be appreciable, except for special individuals/ experts. We also encourage you to share the report in all your networks/ platforms/ movements/ organizations to make certain maximum endorsements possible.
In case you are willing to endorse, please fill in the relevant details here and submit it to AiNNI Secretariat by Saturday, 7th October 2023 6 PM , since we will be submitting the report to SCA with the list of all endorsees immediately thereafter. This is undoubtedly collective work and it requires collective strength. AiNNI is only initiating this work on your behalf. Kindly note that we will not have time for reminders and therefore we are expecting that you will be doing the needful by endorsing the report as early as possible but definitely before 7th October 2023 6 PM. We are expecting your complete cooperation in this endeavour as you have shown during the earlier endorsements.

The earlier email in the name of all of us received lots of welcome and support. Hence, we have added more members into this.
This email connectivity is to search for a platform for all the concerned citizens who want to see change in the preparation to the general elections in 2024 and want change political change to save the country, constitution and citizens.
Many initiatives, yatras, forums, platforms, campaigns, movements are going on all over India. Eddulu Karnataka and similar ones taught a lesson that if the civil society organisations and individuals, secular, faith based and political and cultural affiliations come together it is possible to arise and to change the political process and outcome of this country.
Keeping this in mind, this email group is being created to share about the various initiatives, attempts, efforts being carried out all over the country. This can help us to learn from each other and also to plan for a comprehensive and unified effort to see ultimate victory.
1.Friends, who attended the Eddelu Karnataka meeting in Blore kindly share what happened there.
2.In TN there is the cultural activists taking our a massive yatra to create awareness.
3.IPTA teams are taking out yatra under the title, “Dhai Akshar Prem Ka”.
Let us share these informaitons and follow up.
May be in the 2nd week of October we can think of a online meet to share our thoughts, efforts and plans.
