Date: 30th April 2026, Time 3 pm, Venue: Baha'i Centre, 1st Floor, Court Chambers, Marine Lines, Mumbai
Dear Sir/Madam,
MUMBAI — The Inter-Religious Solidarity Council (IRSC) cordially invites members of the press to an official briefing to announce the upcoming Conclave of Religions. Scheduled for 9th May 2026 at Taj Lands End, Bandra West, this assembly is themed "Sacred Earth, Shared Humanity: Rethinking Religious Ethos in an Age of Crisis." The event will feature a keynote address by renowned vocalist and author Shri T.M. Krishna and will be chaired by Shri Najeeb Jung, former Lt. Governor of Delhi.
The Conclave of Religions is organized to address the dual crises of rising religious polarization and environmental degradation, seeking to reclaim religious values as a force for peace rather than division. Central to the dialogue are two pivotal sessions: "Bridges of Beliefs: Healing Divides," which focuses on interfaith harmony, and "Stewards of the Earth: A Multifaith Call to Eco-Centrism," which explores spiritual responsibility toward the planet. By bringing together diverse voices, the Conclave aims to influence public discourse and foster a shared commitment to compassion, justice, and dignity.
The press conference will be addressed by a distinguished panel of leaders at the forefront of interfaith harmony and social justice. The panel features Prabhu Keshav Chandra Das (Convenor, IRSC) and Irfan Engineer (Co-Convenor, IRSC), who will outline the vision and strategic goals of the conclave. They will be joined by Fr. Frazer Mascarenhas, educationist and former Principal of St. Xavier’s College, Dr. Krishna Abhishek Ghosh, Dean at the K.J. Somaiya Institute of Dharma Studies, and noted journalist and author Rajni Bakshi, to discuss the role of academic, media, and religious institutions in fostering dialogue. Additionally, acclaimed artist Radhika Sood Nayak and celebrated actor Shri Joy Sengupta will speak on the vital role of arts, culture, and performance in bridging communal divides.
The briefing is scheduled for 30th April 2026 at the Baha'i Centre, Marine Lines, Mumbai and will commence promptly at 3:00 PM. The panel will provide an exclusive preview of the conclave’s full agenda, share insights into the participation of various faith leaders from organizations such as the Ramakrishna Mission and Ajmer Sharif Dargah, and discuss how this platform aims to build sustained interfaith collaboration across the country.
We look forward to your presence at this significant announcement as we work toward a more inclusive and harmonious society.
Yours sincerely,
