In 2017 Peachey Transport acquired the use of railcar transloading facilities at Landisville Railroad, which is located on Norfolk Southern rail line. Specializing in transloading feed ingredients, Peachey Rail Works is certified to handle organic commodities. We offer several different transloading services including train-to-truck, truck-to-truck, and truck-to-train. Whether you are looking to ship products via rail into the Lancaster area, shipping products via rail out of the Lancaster area, or needing to transload product from one truck to another, contact us to see if we are capable of handling your product.

Peachey Rail Works does have a limited amount of on-site storage available, contact us for more info. Our hours of operation are very flexible, we work hard to ensure that your products are transloaded and delivered as your schedule requires.

When we need to carry out planned engineering works, such as replacing tracks or upgrading signalling systems, we might need to close a section of track for 24 hours or longer to complete the upgrade work efficiently and safely.

What are the conditions of travel?Customers who are already in possession of or purchasing on the day of travel a valid standard class ticket(s) such as Family Ticket, Day Return, Open Return, Weekly, Monthly, Annual or InterRail ticket can book on their chosen service by selecting the 'Reservation Only' option in the Passenger selection box. Customers are advised there is limited availability for seat only bookings online.

What are the conditions of travel?Customers who hold a Free Travel / DSFA Pass can book on their chosen service by selecting the 'Free Travel Pass' option in the Passenger selection box. Customers are advised there is limited availability for Free Travel bookings online.

Is an option for customers who are in possession of Free Travel Pass, a valid standard class ticket(s), seasonal ticket(s), Taxsaver ticket(s) or InterRail to book onto a train in standard class. Customers who have a valid standard class ticket but wish to upgrade to First Class should also use this selection. For more information go to Tickets Explained section.

Engineering works will take place between Portlaoise and Thurles on Saturday 14th September 2024. Service alterations are currently being finalised and further information will be available here shortly.

So we need to plan these works to deliver improvements to our customers, but there can be unavoidable disruption too. We work to ensure that any such disruption is minimised, and that the number of customers affected is minimised too.

So, while we will have other works which may affect individual services, or late evening / early morning services in some instances, this is the current schedule (as of 19th June 2024) of major disruptive works until the end of November 2024. Further 2024 works will be confirmed shortly. This is subject to further change (for example, new events or additional investment funding can result in revisions).

Bus transfers are operated by Third Party Companies as a result Iarnrd ireann cannot guarantee there will be toilet facilities on-board. Passengers are advised to use the toilet facilities in the station before travelling. Please note Guide / Assistance dogs and small lap dogs can be facilitated on board bus transfers in line with our Travelling with Animals policy.

The 21:55 Cardiff Central to Crewe will be diverted with extended journey times between Shrewsbury and Crewe, a replacement bus service will run serving intermediate stations between Shrewsbury and Crewe.

The 23:15 Cardiff Central to Carmarthen service will be amended to start at Port Talbot Parkway, a replacement bus will run between Cardiff Central and Port Talbot Parkway to connect with the train.

The 21:09 Birmingham International Airport to Manchester Piccadilly service will terminate at Warrington Bank Quay. A replacement bus service will run between Warrington Bank Quay and Manchester Piccadilly.

The 05:24 Aberystwyth to Birmingham International service will start at Machynlleth at 05:58. A replacement bus service will run between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth departing earlier at 04:58.

The 22:52 Aberdare to Cardiff Central service will terminate at Radyr. A replacement bus service will run between Radyr and Cardiff Central via Llandaf, Cathays, and Cardiff Queen Street and via Danescourt, Fairwater and Waun-gron Park.

The 22:52 Aberdare to Cardiff Central service will be diverted at Radyr to run via Cardiff Queen Street. A replacement bus service will run between Radyr and Cardiff Central, calling at all stops to Cardiff Central via Ninian Park.

The 03:51 Chester to Manchester Airport train will not run. A replacement bus service will operate. One bus to arrive at Manchester Airport at same time as train (this bus departs Chester at 02:48) and one to depart Chester at same time as train.

Train services between Shrewsbury and Swansea will stop to pick customers up only at Craven Arms and Church Stretton. Train services in the opposite direction between Swansea and Shrewsbury will stop for customers to disembark only at Church Stretton and Craven Arms.

The 23:15 Cardiff Central to Carmarthen service will be diverted. Two buses leave from Port Talbot Parkway at 00:12, both headed to Carmarthen (one calling at intermediate stations and one direct bus).

As a result, the 08:41 Swansea to Manchester Piccadilly service will start from Cardiff Central at 09:45. A replacement bus will run earlier from Swansea at 07:40 to Cardiff Central, connecting with the train service.

Trains between Worcester Shrub Hill and Great Malvern / Hereford / Dorridge / Stratford-upon-Avon / Leamington Spa will start from / terminate at Worcester Foregate Street, instead of Worcester Shrub Hill. You should use Worcester Foregate Street station instead of Worcester Shrub Hill.

Train services between Hereford / Great Malvern / Worcester Foregate Street and Birmingham New Street / Dorridge will run to a slightly amended timetable between Hereford / Great Malvern / Worcester Foregate Street and Droitwich Spa / Kidderminster.

Amended services between Cardiff Central and Bridgend will be diverted and retimed via Barry, with services between Maesteg and Cardiff Central terminating / starting at Bridgend. Journey times will be extended by approximately 30 minutes.

There will be no TransPennine Express services between Manchester stations and Liverpool Lime Street.Trains towards Liverpool Lime Street will be diverted to start / terminate at Manchester Piccadilly.A shuttle train service will be in operation between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington Central.A rail replacement bus service will be in operation between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly.
