Sod cutter?

Bit of a long shot here.  Does anyone here in Madison know where I might be able to borrow/rent/steal a sod cutter from?  Either manual or powered feels like it would work.

Since you are open to a manual cutter, try a flat shovel or "edger root cutter"  , below.     $12 to 55.   Avoid those which curve up at the sides.

Both our driveway ice chippers broke at a key weld, so I got the edger for chipping ice, below, cheaper and far more durable
