links won't open on iPhone 16

My talented listmates,

I started a new job and was handed a iPhone 16 as a work phone.

I've had Androids.

Trusted person sent me a link to Lowe's. I press on the link and it doesn't open that link.

I can't hear sounds on my laptop so I looked for diagrams for How to use iPhone 16 and they advise visiting Settings > Apps > clicking on iMessages... but I don't have that on this phone. I  only have that green-colored Messages. I clicked on that and found Message Apps and just see apps.

I'm not sure how I would activate live links in Messages on an iPhone 16?
